May 15, 2008 Donnie Yen , are you serious ?I had been waiting this film for over 3 months , I even looked for the trailer , this was the one film which casted by my best favourite star : Donnie Yen .
I was really hope this film can be the best epic-kungfu film to make Donnie a legend like Bruce Lee , but when I watched it , I feel very teribbly disssapointed . I know it wasn't Donnie's fault , it was Chung Siu Tung's fault . This man can't be compared to the great Yuen Woo Ping , although he is a senior . He didn't ignore the logic of a scene , if you don't believe it , I will give some examples :
1.How can be a wounded King left alone be unguarded ?
2.How can be a crown princess left alone in a river , giving bath to a horse ? Why would she do that ? Where was the guards ? Where was Muyong Xiahu ?
3.In this films arrow is the most powerful weapon , everyone who holds arrows , will win the battle . Why didn't Mu Yong Xiahu hold some?
This films makes me more dissapointed when it contains many foolish reasons to fight :
1.Muyong Xiahu released the throne , for what ? For love ?
2.Kelly Chen also left the kingdom ..for what ? For love ?
3.Mu yong Xiahu's guards sacrificed themselves for what ? The difference is justa their commander will do the same thing tomorrow , no tactics , just foolsih and emotional action for a great general level like Muyong Xiahu .
I can't describe all the weakness in this review , but I hope Donnie Yen can read this , he is my superstar , he is the star with great skills and talents , don't waste and downgrade himself with the non talented director . His casting in SPL and Flash Point , Iron Monkey and The fist of the red dragon was much better and valuable than in this film . January 3, 2008 unpredictable filmUnpredictable , because it is very disappointed me , this not Tsui Hark's class , it's a beginner class . The story is too much simple , the plot has no surprise at all , the characters are all losers role including Simon Yam and Louis Koo .The action is very boring . I give this movie zero point . November 19, 2007 Where's the hip hop ?I'm Jay's fan . But in this album , I feel rather disappointed , because I can't listen songs like "Ding Mama Te Hua" again . Jay made the hip hop very easy listening and sweet in melody , also still contains the nice beat . I waited for Jay's new album because I want to listen his hip hop songs .
