In the late 1960s, Northern California was terrorized by a notorious killer who dubbed himself "Zodiac", taunting the police with letters and encrypted messages, while also leaving a trail of bodies in his wake. Director David Fincher (Seven, Fight Club) brings the story of the Zodiac Killer to the big screen in the acclaimed thriller Zodiac, which details the true story of the investigators who made it their mission to bring Zodiac to justice. Meanwhile, San Francisco police detectives Dave Toschi (Mark Ruffalo) and Bill Armstrong (Anthony Edwards) launch their own investigation, crossing paths with crime reporter Paul Avery (Robert Downey, Jr.), as well as other investigators, beginning an investigation that would span nearly three decades. A riveting and uncommon studio release, Zodiac is a film of great integrity, eschewing Hollywood-style grandstanding for a multi-layered piece that's fascinating and exacting in its detail. Zodiac is a compelling police procedural, a disturbing serial killer thriller, and a revealing study of the obsession required to discover the truth.
