Kang Dong Won and Ko Su face off in the intense blockbuster thriller Haunters (a.k.a. Psychic). Kang plays a crippled man with the ability to control minds. Scarred by an abusive childhood, he lives at the edge of society, using his powers at will on those around him. One day while robbing a shop, he encounters a man who's able to resist his mind control. Thus begins the dangerous clash between the two men. The soundtrack for Haunters features the film score by Lee Jae Jin, whose works include Peppermint Candy, Failan, and A Better Tomorrow.

《초능력자》의 음악을 맡은 이재진 음악감독은 영화 촬영 전에 이미 감독과의 여러 차례 미팅을 통해 영화음악의 전체적인 컨셉과 방향 등에 대한 의견을 교류하고, 이를 바탕으로 한 이미지 음악을 만들어 느낌을 공유해 가며 영상와 음악 간의 상호 교감을 촬영 기간 동안에도 이어갔다.
다른 장르의 영화와 달리 많은 것들이 새롭게 구상되어야 하는 SF물이기에, 음악 또한 신선하고 새로운 시도가 필요했다는 이재진 음악감독은 "컴퓨터와 신디사이저를 이용한 일렉트로닉 사운드와 어쿠스틱한 현악기와의 퓨전"을 통해 빠른 호흡와 긴장감을 만들어 전체적으로 음악이 영화의 내러티브를 이끌어 가야 한다고 생각하면서도 음악이 영상보다 앞서 가거나, 청각적으로 음악이 영화의 몰입에 방해가 되지 않도록 많은 고민의 시간을 투자했다.
영화에 사용된 음악만 붙여 놓아도 90분 가량되는 많은 양의 음악들은 음향효과와의 조화를 통해 사운드 효과적 음악, 혹은 음악적인 사운드를 만들어 영상과 음악의 일체감을 느끼게 해준다.
