Two years after the success of hit family sitcom Unstoppable High Kick, MBC follows up with the unrelated second season, High Kick Through the Roof, bringing more laughs to audiences of all ages. Lee Soon Jae returns as a company president and head of the household, with Daniel Choi (The World That They Live In), Oh Hyun Kyung (First Wives Club), Jeong Bo Seok (Dae Jo Yeong), newcomer Yoon Si Yoon, and Jin Ji Hee (East of Eden) filling out the rest of the Lee family. Shin Se Kyung (Queen Seon Duk) and child actress Seo Shin Ae (Thank You) play country bumpkin sisters who end up working at the Lee house after their debt-ridden father abandons them.

Previously released in two parts as digital albums, the High Kick Through the Roof soundtrack is now available in full with four additional tracks on this Special Edition OST. The 13-track release includes R&B singer Kim Jo Han's ending theme You Are My Girl and ballad Don't Say Goodbye, and Seo Ye Na's "Hold Your Breath". Two of the drama's stars also participated in the soundtrack. Yoon Si Yoon sings "The Road from Here" and Jeong Bo Seok collaborated with Hoony Hoon on the electronic R&B number Friday Night.

MBC 일일 시트콤 “지붕 뚫고 하이킥”
O.S.T Special Edition 발매!!
6개월의 방영 기간 동안 수많은 화제와 많은 시청자들의 사랑을 받았던 MBC 일일 시트콤 “지붕 뚫고 하이킥”이 종영을 앞두고 “지붕 뚫고 하이킥 O.S.T Special Edition”을 공개했다.
총 13곡으로 이루어진 “지붕 뚫고 하이킥 O.S.T Special Edition”은 디지털 음원으로 발매가 되었던 OST Part.1과Part.2에 수록됐던 전곡이 포함되어 있으며, 방영 기간 동안 시트콤 속에 등장했던 주옥 같은 배경음악과 에피소드마다 시청자들의 귀를 사로잡았던 4곡의 신곡도 포함되어 있다.

“지붕 뚫고 하이킥 O.S.T Special Edition”의 타이틀곡은 정보석이 랩퍼로 변신해 시청자들에게 즐거움을 준 일렉트로닉 R&B곡 “Friday Night”으로, 방송이 끝난 후 많은 request가 있었던 곡이다.
또 다른 곡인 “그녀를 찾네요”는 시트콤 초반 가족들의 반대로 김자옥과 헤어질 위기에 처한 이순재의 마음을 표현한 곡으로써 섬세한 가사로 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 싱어송라이터 심현보가 작사했으며 “지붕 뚫고 하이킥”의 음악감독 김조한이 직접 작곡하고 불렀다. 아름다운 멜로디와 슬픈 가사, 김조한의 애절한 목소리가 잘 어우러졌다는 평가를 받고 있다.
OST Part.1의 타이틀곡 “지붕 뚫고 하이킥”과 Part.2의 타이틀곡으로 신세경의 테마곡이었던 “숨을 참아요” 준혁 학생이 직접 불러 화제가 된“내게 오는 길”, 시트콤의 엔딩곡으로 6개월간 변함없는 사랑을 받고 있는 “You’re my girl”을 모두 들을 수 있다. 특히, “내게 오는 길”은 윤시윤씨가 다시 녹음실을 방문하여 스튜디오 버전으로 재 녹음한 곡으로써 라이브버전과는 또 다른 느낌과 노래실력을 선보였다.
