KBS's weekly TV drama Couple Clinic: Love and War makes it way to the big screen with the film Love War. With already 450 episodes under its belt as of 2009, the series, which explores an assortment of marital problems caused by infidelity, in-law conflicts, and money trouble, has raked in high ratings throughout its nine-year broadcast history. Directed by Kwak Gi Won who also directed the small screen series, Love War holds no bar when it comes to the sex scenes – a calculated effort made by the director to enhance realism in his portrayal of extramarital affairs. Lining up all the favorite stars from the TV series, namely, Lee Joo Na (Cello), Lee Jung Hoon (Windstruck), and Bae Jeong Ah, the film tells the story of a housewife who suspects her husband of cheating, then seeks revenge by engaging in eleven steamy affairs with different men. Unlike the TV version ending where the troubled couple faces a marriage counseling committee and hears some professional opinions, the film lets the audience decide for themselves whether the couple should divorce or give the marriage one more try.
