Described as Korea's first courtroom thriller, The Client has grabbed attention with its big name cast of Ha Jung Woo, Jang Hyuk, and Park Hee Soon. Ha Jung Woo plays defense attorney Kang who faces an uphill battle defending murder suspect Han (played by Jang Hyuk) in a notorious case that has attracted great public concern. Park Hee Soon is top prosecutor Ahn, who is intent on bringing down both Kang and his mysterious client. A battle of wits ensues as the two lawyers face off in court and gradually uncover the truth behind the murder of Han's wife.

Jo Young Wook, who has worked on the soundtracks for movies like Thirst , A Dirty Carnival, and old Boy, serves as the music director for The Client. The score's sophisticated combination of strings, marimba, and electronica brings out the tension of the film.
