當很多樂迷將注意力集中在本地創作人陳煇揚或郭偉良的「傷逝」時，香港有一位創作人叫林一峰竟然異軍突起。他有幾勁？近期你們沒有聽林曉培的主打「不知好歹」嗎？能夠為臺灣歌手作曲，應該算是香港音樂人的光榮，現在他還推出了這張名為《床頭歌》的專集。 他為本碟包辦了所有的曲詞，這張床頭歌是否須要在床頭聽就不得而知，不過有一點很明顯，就是他的創作很有觀察力，能將我們日常的生活譜成曲詞，「突然獨身」寫的是感情生活由拍拖變成獨身後的轉變；「雪糕車」是送結屋村仔女的歌謠，很少再聽到像「鞦韆這樣簡樸的歌曲；「一和二」亦是一首探討愛情的甜味歌；「19」、「我的日記」、「青草地、溪水旁」亦是非常清新。 林一峰為歌手譜的曲可以很商業味，不過唱回自已作品時，就變一變身，好像變了新派的區瑞強，香港的民歌已演進了！不在是不食人間煙火的一種，而是非常緊貼生活的一種，聽慣pop的或者可以考慮試試這張《床頭歌》。 推薦曲目：「突然獨身」「雪糕車」「我的日記」 |

The Promising Musician,Chet Lam

No doubt, Chet's first debut album "Pillow Songs" doesn't aim at achieving the best-seller of Hong Kong record industry. As what Chet has once said in an interview, he prefers his songs making others feel moved and relieved to topping the charts of records.Yes, his simple, direct ,folk and acoustic refreshing style music has drawn myriads of HK music fans' attention. I'm very delighted to see that his popularity is gained by his unique music style but not idolized image or a great deal of promotions.To be frank, I've been deeply hooked on his songs recently as what I commented before, all ten tracks of this album have a great impression on me. When I feel quite apprehensive, blue or gloomy, these ten songs are like ten different stories from "Chicken Soup" and I've got much more relieved afterwards. If you ask me which one is my favourite, I somewhat find it difficult to pick one out ... However, I'm exceptionally appreciated for the way Chet sings in track 5 (19) and track 8 (My Diary), appealing and soothing melodied tracks 4 (The Swing) and 6 (Instant Noodles and I), meaningful lyrics in tracks 2 (The Ice-cream Van) as well as 10 (The Best Is Yet To Come).For tracks 5 and 8, which are about those unforgettable memories of puppy love. And Chet's voice is so attractive,natural,sentimental but not affected that my happy and sweet recollection emerges from my head again along with the melody and rhythm. And I'm also fond of the comfortable melodies of tracks 4 & 6,which are composed by Chet and he completely shows his talent towards music just like his skilful flute and guitar playing.Musically, I have a liking for tracks 2 and 10.Yet I love the lyrics even more.The detailed and down-to-earth lyrics of track 2 figures out the sense of happiness and sincerity of childhood, which is almost forgotten.For track 10, with the most meaningful lyrics, has already encouraged those who've been in hardship to think positively and treasure everything.I was very impressed by the lyrics at the very beginning as it makes me feel so warm inside out and feel like seeing a gleam of hope in time of adversity. I'm also touched by his other unreleased songs from the Internetand he's done well in other songs in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and Japanese.Anyway, Chet is the best musician that I've ever met. Recommendation: All tracks! ^^ |

The Pillow Songs!The musical "Chicken Soup"!

Recently I have repeatedly listened to all the tracks of this album,every song of this album is very "down-to-earth"(direct but simple)in melody and brings a hidden message of positive thinking.I can just say that these 10 songs are like ten different touching stories from the "Chicken Soup" and when I get agitated,frustrated or gloomy facing the adversity and setback, I definitely listen to these songs at once.Afterwards, I got much more relieved mentally.Thanks to them, my thoughts are becoming more positive than before.Again, I sincerely recommend all the tracks of this album those who are in hardship! And LAM YAT FUNG is really a promising and outstanding composer, lyricist as well as singer! And here are my heartfelt thanks for your songs accompanying the ups and downs of my life! ^=^ |
