A MUST SEE

I wonder how many people can actually distinguish between action and action drama. As for this movie, it is absolutely excellent. It is a beautiful art film and a touching action drama. The characters handle themself really well, the fighting sequence is absolutely stunning. the special effects and blood just boost up the realness of the movie. As an action drama, the film is a little slower in pace but the rythm slowly picks up. As an art film this film can easily be at an equal if not better than hollywood film. I wish that the music score of this movie could have been done better. I give a two-thumbs up for this film. As for the DVD which you are interested in. Region 9 (all region) only house the movie, no extra stuff in it. This movie is very much worth of watching the extras. The region 2 and region 3 dvd both have two disk with lot's of extra. If you can get a region 3, that would be great, if not this DVD still will not disappoint you since the movie is so well done. This movie earned the place to be in my top 10 quality, technical and entertainment value movies of all time. others include "the lord of the rings series", "gladiator","friend","infernal affairs series", "the rock","face off" and others. |

Great Movie.
| This movie is hella good. I bought the VCD b/c it is cheap and cover look good. And I was blown away. The story is great, the actors perfrom great, and the action is great too. I don't know what is not to like here. Sure, this movie does not hav crazy Kung Fu and wire flying scenes. It is trying to be realistic anyway. Buy it. U won't be disappointed. |

The "c"orea warriors
| Awesome movie as many of you already give excellent rating here. I really like this movie as well. I do agree with the person who wrote about the horrible english subtitle in this special 2 disc DVD set. I think that's the only bad thing I can say about this realeases. I saw this movie twiced, the first time was in Korea when they were showing in the movie theater and then because I liked this movie a lot so I watched again on DVD. I acturally did like Zhang ziyi's role in this film and I think she did just fine for her part, although many of you didn't really think so. The reason I think she did just fine is because many of you look at her and has the images that she can kick some ass and rock some kung fu because of her famous film "crouching tiger and hidden dragon", but in this film she supposed to be a princess from the Meng dynasty in China not a kung fu master figure. I do agree with ppl thinks she does not deserved all the warriors to uses their life to protect her because of who she is but I really couldn't think whoelse whould be more suitable in the main actress role other than Zhang ziyi, espcially with her popularity these day in Asia and the US/Europe. This is a well made film and a good international project. A must see. |
