The anticipated follow-up to her best-selling 2007 album Agent J, Butterfly is Jolin Tsai's 10th studio album, and her first after signing with Warner Music. Always updating the visual style of her music, the trendy Taiwan pop diva previously incorporated yoga and pole dancing elements into her performances. This time, she employs some stunning acrobatic ballet routines in expressing the album's motif: Be the brave and beautiful butterfly that you are!

Songs on the album include the titular dance anthem "Butterfly", and other main plugs like "Real Man", "My Reliance" and "Parachute".

The limited Preorder Version comes with a WHITE T-shirt designed by Jolin and produced by her fashion label Seventy Two Changes, plus a 30-page "Shadow Dancer in New York" photo book.

Jolin’s sweet butterfly and great beats! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
There’s one thing about Jolin’s albums, you can certainly rely on them to feature some squarely upbeat synthonics and electro dance beats. By past J techno pop albums “Dancing Forever Concert Edition and Remixes” and the recent “Agent J” (especially the fantastic title track and “Tacit Violence!) I can certainly see why Jolin is the 'into the groove' queen of Taiwan. Plenty electro 90s and modern dance pop here, too, with “Hot Winter”, “Butterfly”, “Slow Life”, “The Shadow Dancer”, “Real Man” and “Love Attraction” all in the Jolin vocal dance pop format. Being another rounded album throughout slower emotional songs and variations are included with the Blondie Motown beat song “Love Attraction” and slower ballad songs like “Parachute” and “Compromise”.

I noted some songs to be cover versions here (I recognized “Real Man” – I think), but the production and song set doesn’t’ detract J’s groove. Even though a sort of ‘Pin Ups’ cover album, it seems strong and varied in Jolin’s style to go along with the above popular albums. My only suggestion though is that Jolin’s transformation into the butterfly image may not be as strong as “Agent J” for wider appeal (although there is the 'butterfly effect', I suppose). Still all chameleon colors are worth investigating. “Hot Winter” and “Butterfly” are certainly the groove masters here and I’m sure songs to be hot numbers live on Jolin’s future concert tours. Also liked “The Shadow Dancer” with its nifty synth disco and mild calypso beat along with the rhythmic disco dancer “Slow Life”. Of course its Jolin’s gentle and distinctive singing vocal that puts the J in the music.

Sorry to hear of Jolin’s back and leg injury's lately. Hopefully J will be fighting fit soon (steady with those high kicks, gal). Heard about J’s 200 garment designs ‘to do list’ too. Blimey, this is one busy girl (Excessive Illustrator and Photoshop use for 200 clothing designs must have melted J’s computer by now!). Being one of a number of “Butterfly Jolin” versions, this CD-DVD set is the best space saver version (allows you get in your room to listen to it on your CD player) with the MVs and a lovely photo book.

this is awesome!
i just got it today!
i was a little disappointed with the box, because it was big.
i love all the songs in the album!
the slow ones and the fast ones too!
the pictures were pretty too!
and how can we not mention about the t-shirt?
i mean, it's awesome!
i can't wait to show it off to my friends!

OMG! Love her new Album[!!]

I'm sad cause all moved songs are covers, but are perfect, and the ballads... <3!! All love!
It's a good CD album, and dont mind what people said(and say), she is better and by the time, she is getting more skills of dancing and singing. I miss a bit her relax style from Magic 72, but all of her albums are cool, and this one is very trendy and lovely. She is going to make an excellent Tour, i wait the DVD

And about Red Tshirt Version, i think i will recived the order soon, but i know its perfect, and the tshirts designed by her are very cool.

Thanks yesasia for Jolin's albums, and congrats Jolin! you're amazing!

I really like Flower Butterfly ... Her songs (Esp. Flower Butterfly , Real Man , & Compromise ) and the dance moves ( Flower Butterfly & Real Man ) is awesome ^^ i like those !!! i've been waiting for this album for a long time ^^
