March 1, 2007 game for a laugh
Most of the time you just laugh it off. Like any adult film of this sort, you get sex and violence. If blood is eliminated in this case, perhaps it would be a bit more entertaining. March 1, 2007 good tryIf you have nothing to do, then spend an hour each day to watch this drama. You will be quite relaxed and willing to wait till the next day for another epistle. The story is a bit boring but emphasizes on friendship. The best performers are the pair of friends, one was a petty thief, the other was a sort of gangster. February 28, 2007 best drama ever shownKwon Sang Woo should get an Oscar Plus for his performance in this beautiful but very sad love story. He is so good looking that even when he cries, he is so handsome that we cannot get enough of him. The devotion and love he showed to Choi is everything a girl would die for. One felt real heartbreaking on one or two occasions when he decided to let Choi goes. Kim is one of the most beautiful Korean actresses but this drama didn't do her any justice especially when the young version of her had been so very wicked. I like all the songs too, fit the story perfectly. Watch out for the scene Sang Woo chasing after Choi who gone on the train, his arrival at the platform, running down the stairs until they saw each other...just F A N T A S T I C, first class performance! There is a serious question about marriage vow. The ending is a little unsatisfactory but it again left us to ponder over what we have promised when we took our marriage vows. It is very sad that by being unfaithful and destroying a marriage, it could ruin the partner's life. I have no sympathy for 'the other woman' in the film, although she appears to be a good person, but to build her own happiness on breaking up someone's relationship, it is already unforgivable. She is beautiful, cute and charming but at times I feel she is a little overshadowed by Lim who played a much learned lady. The few scenes between lovers were absolutely fantastic. I like especially the anxiety of the elder brother Fu. However, we mustn't forget the clever and funny dialogues of the younger brother too. The prince did his part well. I just feel may be there is a better cast for the emperor whose acting is fine but somehow he just doesn't quite look like an emperor. The only thing I do not quite want to see so much is the fighting in Chinese films. It is a bit boring. It'll be nice to concentrate lots more on the love side. Did you find this review helpful? February 28, 2007 good - as expectedI am not a fan of Bae Yong joon but I admit he does have a certain charm. You cannot not like him. The plot is good and the ending is as good as can be. The woman is far from good looking but worse still, she is so degrading - an insult to all women. The man she is in love with is definitely very unpleasant and rude.
