till death do us part
| I absoloutely endorsed everything in the previous review by 'anonymous'. There is a serious question about marriage vow. The ending is a little unsatisfactory but it again left us to ponder over what we have promised when we took our marriage vows. It is very sad that by being unfaithful and destroying a marriage, it could ruin the partner's life. I have no sympathy for 'the other woman' in the film, although she appears to be a good person, but to build her own happiness on breaking up someone's relationship, it is already unforgivable. May be people should think more carefully before they get married? |

Realistic Issues Raised
| Although this movie is kind of slow paced, it does however raise a number of issues that makes one wonders about its answer. One issue raised was the Vow and Promise "to death do us part". When you love a person, you willingly make that vow and promise but is this promise forever? Anita is portrayed here as the innocent wife of Alex Fong that needs to 'grow up' from her fairytale life and accept the reality that her 'perfect' family is no longer perfect. Here, Anita once again shows off her acting skills perfectly by portraying the pitiful and tormented wife excellently. Alex Fong plays the husband, although a good cop and father, he is a useless man when it comes to dealing his love/family life. I find that this movie deals more with life rather than just plain romance. This movie is a weepy not because of the sad issues it tries to deal with but is because of your realization that in reality, nothing is forever, especially not a promise. |
