Hong Kong action star Yuen Biao takes on the law into his own hands in the action-packed 1986 Hong Kong film Righting Wrongs. Yuen stars as Hsia, a prosecutor who tries to bring justice, despite the flaws of the legal system. When an important witness and his family are brutally murdered, a furious, disillusioned Hsia decides to dish out some street justice with his fist. Legendary action star Cynthia Rothrock joins Yuen as a righteous police officer that joins Hsia on his quest against the despicably evil Sergeant Wong. Directed by Corey Yuen (Fong Sai-Yuk), who also choreographed the action with four other credited action directors, Righting Wrongs is packed with classic, Hong Kong-style bone-crunching action with a dark edge. Yuen has no qualms about injecting plenty of pessimism, dissatisfaction with the justice system, and life-changing violence into the film, making Righting Wrongs an exciting action film that will stay in your mind long after its conclusion.

This is the first case for young public prosecutor Yuen Biao. The People vs. drug kings Paul Chang and James Tien. Yuen is sure of conviction as Uncle Sing has agreed to testify in court. The sky falls on Yuen who learns Uncle Sing and his family are murdered the night before. Both defendants are set free on lack of evidence. A deeply outraged Yuen decides to take law into his own hands. He goes out and kills Paul Chang. Station chief Wong orders Cynthia Ruthrock and Yuen Biao. She and Kway start to shadow Yuen Biao. Yuen Biao slips James Tien's home only to find him killed. He has to fight off a determined Ruthrock to get away......
