Producer Tsui Hark brings the popular classic comic strip Lo Fu Ji (or Master Q) to modern cinema life in Master Q 2001! Loving couple Fung (Nicholas Tse) and Miss Cheung (Cecilia Cheung) are torn apart when bumbling buddies Master Q and Potato (both rendered in 3D computer graphics) accidentally cause both to lose their memories. Fung ends up with wacky triads (led by Michael Chan Wai Man and Tats Lau Yi Tat), while Miss Cheung ends up in the care of Master Q and Potato, who are out of work and looking for new employment. Eventually, the couple's loss is discovered, and Master Q and Potato do their best to bring the two back together. Slapstick comedy and chase sequences occur, as well as sweet musical numbers, and more Master Q mischief than anyone can stand! Master Q 2001 is a state-of-the-art combination of computer animation and live action filmmaking that marks a new milestone in Hong Kong filmmaking! But technological benchmarks aside, Master Q 2001 also qualifies as a crowd-pleasing action-comedy for the whole family!

由於老夫子、大蕃薯一次失誤，令到當警員的鋒（謝霆鋒）與Miss張（張柏芝）二人意外失憶，因而失散。黑邦阿頭金爺（陳惠敏）見機不可失，遂自認為鋒之契爺，並將其帶入社團。
Miss張失憶後任由母親擺佈，老夫子二人不惜犯險帶Miss張出走。三人重返學校工作，遇上失憶後便當上了大哥的鋒，鋒與Miss張雙方均感受到一種難以言喻之親切感，無奈Miss張一直以為自己早已另有所屬，故對鋒甚為冷漠。
鋒深愛Miss張，不忍她與分開，故特意命手下找出Miss張男友家之所在，並把地址告訴Miss張，Miss張走進屋內，發現此屋為鋒未失憶前的住所，故即往找鋒……
Master Q and Potato fail the job interview in a school, they then go to find Wog for revenge. But Wong has already retired, so he gives Master Q a secret pouch.
Fung is a CID. He is in love with Miss Cheung. But Cheung’s mother, the District Concilor, is against it. Uncle Kam (a celebrity) believes in some crooks that Fung is going to be the head of the police force in the future. Kam wants to bribe him under his wing for business in the future.
Master Q and Potato carelessly knock over Fung and Miss Cheung and they lose their memory. Kam takes this chance to bring Fung to his place and take him in as an adopted son.
Master Q and Potato keep Miss Cheung in the office then go for a job interview in the school again. One joke leads to-another. Master Q and Potato become friends with Fung after that Fung stalks Miss Cheung everybody. But Cheung can’t remember a thing, so she refuses Fung and tells him to leaves her alone. Fung finds the keys of Chung’s boyfriend, and asks his people to tell Miss Cheung her boyfriend’s address.
Fung and Kam come to the harbour to kill Shing. On the other hand, Master Q, Potato and Miss Cheung come to help Fung. Fung and Cheung recover their memory during the chaos......

A feel good show

I love this show. I don't understand why they don't sell this show anymore. I have lost my copy and I would love to get this show again.Good story, and good clean fun. Cecilia and Nic looked real good together. Love the cartoon and the music too. |

this movie was really good especially if you like Master Q the comic coz the animation is brilliant..... anyway..i think nicholas and cecilia were pretty good, but they could've done better |

So-So Movie
| The movie was decent. The animation of the cartoon characters is great. Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung look great together but their acting is mediocre. You will probably like the movie if you're a fan of both. |

Nicholas and Cecilia looks really cute in this movie. Although I'm not a fan of the Comic Book about Master Q and the Potato guy so I think their appearance in the movie is pretty weird. |

Cheezy! Worst Movie of the Year.

I bought this movie only b/c I'm a fan of the comic book. Overall, it's a terrible movie. The story and acting was terrible. The plot makes no sense. The soccer scene was pointless, extremely cheesy. Actually Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung are pointless in the movie. They should've made the movie just about Old Master Q, Potato and Mr Nobody (who was barely seen in the movie). The plus side, it was great to see Alfonso Wong play himself. The 3D animations was excellent and the comedy of the 3D charactors carried the movie. The only reason they made this movie was to ca$h in on the Old Master Q. Director Herman Yau should be ashamed for associating this BOMB to the comic book. |
