| Olivia is a gem, and this DVD shows her at her best. The best video in this collection is definitely "Dekinai". All of her music is fantastic, and she defines "cutting edge". She has a beautiful voice as well. Maybe she should cross over to the States. I can't believe I'm saying this, but she'd probably be appreciated more over here... |

JUST GIVE HER A CHANCE!!

Yes the words from the person above are very true. I liked her since 1997 when she was still in D&D. This music video dvd is superb. She looks so good in all the videos with the songs to match it. But I think she is quite unlucky not to become famous considering what she had done. She was the singer for the world cup 1998 song which was produced by Testuya Komuro (TK was also the producer of globe, namie amuro, trf, tomomo khala,etc....) and collaborated with Jean Michel Jarre (probably the world best know French musician). Unfortunatly all her singles released after 1998 didn't reach into the top 20 which was a shame becos i found her music is by far one of the best and she also has an excellent vocal. I think the best position she achieved since she left D&D was her album which has reached 20th place in the album chart. She is not doing much lately though, hope she is ok!! Released a mini album few days ago which was only released in Tower Records in shibuya....... |

Olivia is the Best
| Am I the only person that owns it? It's a very nice video clip collection. ILY ~yokubou~ features Olivia performing with her band on a some kind of stage with a computer generated background. It's not very exciting, but who's first video is? The Re-Act video features Olivia singing behind a microphone, in an odd cellophane room, and she is also walking behind a wire fence and spinning around in a bathtub. She looks absolutely gorgeous in this video. The Dear Angel clip is lovely and well done, even though it reminds me a little of Madonna's Like a Prayer video (sans the controversy!) The Dress Me Up Video just features her on a rooftop and inside of an aquarium. It's not bad, the best part is when she sends a bowling ball towards a stack of wine glasses. Groovy! The Dekinai video is my favorite. It fits the song perfectly by having two Olivias singing in some strange hypnotic settings. Well done, one of her best. Color of Your Spoon is another favorite. The colors change every once in a while right in front of your eyes. I like Olivia "Loco" tank top. She's very cute, and this video's quirkiness matches that of the song. I love Olivia! More people need to buy her music. The clips disc is pretty expensive, but it's worth it. We always have to dig into our pockets deeper for the unappreciated artists. It's a great collection though, and if you're a fan BUY IT! |
