This series is not what you might expect Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
There hadn't been an adaptation of Jin Yong's novels that had caused quite as much controversy within the chinese entertainment community as this one. This version of the legendary Jin Yong's (aka Louis Cha)masterpiece "Shen Diao Xia Lu" disappointed many fans and greatly upset the author Jin Yong himself. The producer of this notorious series, Yang Pei-Pei, changed the story significantly and had the script rewritten to the point that drove quite an uproar from Jin Yong's fans. Jin Yong accused Yang Pei-Pei of abusing his "son" (a designated connotation for his much beloved literary work which he had created decades earlier). So needless to say, if you have read the novel "Shen Diao Xia Lu" and enjoyed the earlier film starring Andy Lau and Idy Chan, you will most likely be disappointed with this film starring Richie Ren and Jacqueline Wu. But if you don't really care how different this film may be from the earlier versions or how much it strayed from the novel, but are just looking for something fun to watch, then you might just like this film. The positive things about this version is that the acting is good, the music is good, the fighting choreography is excellent (one of the best I've seen in martial arts tv-series) and the production quality is very nice. The bad things however, such as the wrong decision in casting the two main characters along with the big change in the script and how much it strayed from the actual novel, could be overlooked if you're willing to watch it with an open-mind.

This one is really bad! Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
This has to be one of the worst excuse for a TV mini series. The production is so bad that it bored me to death just the first episode and I wouldn't even going to torture myself for another wasted hour. This set is bad in all categories including: fight scenes, production quality, acting, and script. The script is so far from the book that it is not even funny. I regreted reading and trusting some of the phony reviews in YesAsia.com and bought this set.

This is so bad Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
I prefer the early nineties version of condor heroes (Andy Lau). This version story line is way off from the novel. And not to mention there are lots of parts that is so damn boring.
