Set in the Japan's Warring States Period, Heaven and Earth focuses on the famous feud between Uesugi Kenshin and Takeda Shingen, two great leaders in two warring clans. Directed by Cabaret's Kadokawa Haruki, it is based on the novel by Kaionji Chougoro and was once considered impossible to film due to its huge scope. Finally, the epic tale is captured on celluloid!

The production travelled as far as Canada to envision the infamous battle in Japanese history: The Battle of Kawanakajima, and it promises to be a heartstopper in this exquisitely produced film. The Earth Edition's film is an overseas Edition is edited by Robert C. Jones, one of the most respected editors in the business and an Oscar-winning writer for Coming Home.

An epic and colorful movie Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This movie has beautifully made with colorful customes and well arrange battle formations. The plot maybe slow at times but enjoyable. The fluet added a sad yet calming emotion to the movie. I recommend this movie to anyone who love history and is intrigue by the samurais.
