Fight for the Republic in Star Wars: Republic Commando! This first-person, ground-based shooter puts the player in the role of "Three-Eight", an elite clone trooper fighting for the Republic during the Clone Wars. Leading a squad of three other clone troopers ("07", "40", and "62"), you must battle through three campaigns, including an invasion of the planet Geonosis, the investigation of a derelict starship, and the defense of the planet Kashyyyk from Transdoshan slavers out to capture the Wookies. Players have access to a variety of weapons, and squad-based commands help keep your troops in line. Besides the extensive single-player mode, Republic Commando features several multi-player modes to bring the action online. As can be expected from LucasArts, the production values of Republic Commando are top notch, with detailed environments and models, and excellent voice acting during the cutscenes. The extensive storyline even includes some hints and revelations about the upcoming film Star Wars Episode III: The Revenge of the Sith!
