Not thrilling enough
| Initially, the pacing is too deliberate and it taxes your patience. However lovely Asian Movie Queen Li Ching delivers the goods with another creditable performance. Lin Wei Tu is good in the lead role. He should have been given more opportunites to shine at Shaw studio given his able performance here. I too would have loved this on DVD but after viewing the movie, I have to say it is a nice small movie which justifies its VCD-only release. Film picks up towards the end and becomes a worthwhile watch. |

Not on DVD?

I was waiting quite early for this release. I missed it when shown back then. Was at first, disappointed that this is a "VCD" only release. The story line is good but this film lacks depth. The first half of the story was so long drawn that one begin to lose interest. At the end, I am glad it is only VCD. Scoring it a 6 purely because I am an ardent fan of Li Ching. |
