MBC's new drama series, Sweet Spy delves into the World of politics, espionage and corruption. Best New Actress nominee Nam Sang Mi stars as Lee Soon Ae, a recently widowed traffic cop who finds herself in over her head after she stops a young man for committing a routine traffic violation. Newcomer Dennis Oh plays Han Yoo Il, the mysterious stranger who is stopped by the ever-diligent Soon Ae. He is in fact an international spy, who has come to Korea on a top-secret mission.

When Soon Ae accidentally forgets to return Yoo Il's super high-tech spy pen to him, she sets in motion a chain of events that pulls her into the shady world of international espionage. When the Special Operations Unit also becomes involved, its new Chief Kang Joon (Lee Joo Hyun), and female officer Park (Yoo Seon) also become entangled.

    This would have been a lot better if someone else had have played the Dennis O'Neil role, to be honest this would have been better if a jar of pickled onions had have played the Dennis O'neil role. It wasn't just that his acting (if you could call it that) was terrible, he was just the dullest spy you could ever imagine, you actually wanted a passing satellite to drop out of the sky and land on his head to alleviate the boredom. Nam Sam Mi just sleepwalked through her role and gave the impression that she'd rather be at home doing the ironing than appearing in this piffle. The rest of the cast were adequate I suppose but the story was so pointless that unless you're a teenage girl with an adolescent crush on plankton so boring that all the other plankton refuse to let it join in at playtime, I fail to see how this could appeal to anyone. Watch any other Kdrama (even the ones with the dreadful Park I'm just going to shout all my lines Shin Yang in) they are all better.

    awesome! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
    this drama is not one of the typical drama where every scene is predictable. I love this drama because not only is it comical and romantic, it also has action. Also, the main actress is not just any typical korean girl like all the other dramas. she's a different character, and i like difference for a change. I admit, as hot as Dennis Oh is, his acting could be better. However, i don't think anyone would mind because he's just too damn sexy!! i've seen other dramas that he was in, and he had improved greatly. also, he spoke in english throughout the drama, but i don't mind, i speak english fluently.

    I love the connection between nam sang mi and dennis oh in this drama. though i had a hard time figuring out their feelings for one another. One time, i'll think he's using her, and she likewise and then the next time, it'll be a different feeling. But that's why i like the drama; it's unpredictable. It's also funny how everyone is so suspicious of one another. I guess the moral that i picked up from the drama is "trust the one you love". Not too many people are satisfied with the ending, and you might be one of them but i thought the ending was perfect. it left you wondering what was going on, almost like there's a sequel. i'll tell you this much though, i think it was a happy ending. just because of the last scene, i think i could pick out what and why it happened.

    My favorite part of the drama was the ending!! enjoy!!!^_^

    I haven't finished the drama yet, but its kinda getting blah. The only reason I'm watching it now is because Dennis Oh is hot! But he can't act at all!!! Get some acting lessons! I could act better!

    I got hooked into finishing this series in 1 day... no sleeping, etc... I really liked this series. The beginning was a little slow, but I loved it overall. The ending was too abrupt. It seemed like they tried to squeeze everything into the last 5-10 minutes. It probably would be better if the resolution / conclusion to the story was a little longer (maybe a full episode instead of 1/3 to 1/2 an episode). But those 2 points are my only complaints. Otherwise, I loved this series. Both main characters are so cute. Nam Sang-Mi is adorable and Dennis Oh is so cute! Can't keep my eyes off him!

     Expect better from MBC Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
    Soooo lame. This is one of the few Kdramas that I have had to force myself to watch. "Most" of the acting is fine. The story is weak and the characters are not interesting. If you expect comedy, then don't. The Police Captain is the most interesting
    and human of the characters. The rest of the cast are wasted. Not a fault of the actors, many performed there roles well. The story sagged, dragged and flopped. I won't give the ending away as others have done. Just that it's not worth watching regardless of how it ends. Also, if the Kdramas are going to perpetuate anti Americanism they should at least use American actors to do it.
