I'm not too terribly impressed with this single. Togenkyo is a strangely catchy tune. The girls voices sound sweet, and there is a pretty cool bit where they 'break it down' and throw down some rapping. The guitar riff the song is based on is painfully generic though. The girls do manage to spice it up a bit, but its really not enough to cement this track as something memorable. Lights, Camera. Action! is very generic jpop fluff stuff. It reminds me of Tip Taps Tip, but less HALCALI. There is a bit of a rap....but to be honest...I don't really remember what it sounds like. This single is entertaining enough when you're listening to it...but the songs just really aren't memorable. They're not strong enough to be singles. I'm fairly disappointed with this single. It's easily the weakest single HALCALI has ever released. :( |
