继台剧和日剧版之後，KBS电视台于2009年1月初播出《Boys Over Flowers》(剧名∶花样男子)以来，收视屡创新高，全国收视率更高达35.5%，成为收视冠军。剧中的四位美男子F4由《我们学校的ET》李敏镐、SS501成员金贤重、《考死》金範、来自T-max的金俊分别扮演道明寺司(具俊表)、花泽类(尹智厚)、西门总二郎(苏易正)和美作玲(宋宇彬)，至于平民少女牧野杉菜(金丝草)由《王与我》具惠善主演。

改编自日本漫画家神尾叶子的同名漫画，《花样男子》讲述平民少女金丝草(具惠善饰)入读的贵族学校「神话学院」，以全国最大企业神话集团少爷具俊表(李敏镐饰)为首的F4，和三位成员尹智厚(金贤重饰)、苏易正(金範饰)、宋宇彬(金俊饰)在校内享有至高无上的地位，谁知金丝草一入学已得罪了F4，她唯有不畏强权挑战四位富家少爷，在无意之间吸引了具俊表的注意，但金丝草却对尹智厚情有独锺……

KBS《花样男子》播出以来深受观众欢迎，新一代韩国F4与杉菜也人气急升，剧中饰演的李敏镐和金贤重在第45届百想艺术大奖分别获「最佳男新人奖」和「最佳人气奖」，演技备受肯定。此外，剧组还邀集了《少年阿虎》金贤珠演道明寺姐姐姜熙淑，《达子的春天》李慧英为道明寺家族的女主人，《火花游戏》韩彩英扮花泽类的初恋情人闵瑞贤等特别演出。
