Good movie
|
This is an impressive movie, I brought this movie with no high hope of it at all. I heard people say that Jaycee Chan is not a good actor. After I watch this movie, I think Jaycee has good acting potential. He might not be as good as his father, Jackie Chan, but time will tell. Well, the story is a normal stand, not special. What's it that made this movie stand out of the crowd? It is love, fun, reality awareness, and responsibility. I am impressed with Fiona Sit and Jaycee Chan acting. Overall this is a good movie to watch, while I watch this movie it refresh my teenage memory. It is like watching my own drama, hehe. I think it would take you back to your teenage live as well. The only drawback of this movie is not enought parts on the love development between the two main cases. |

2 Young
| This is the best Chinese movie I've seen for quite a while. Personally, I am not a big fan of recent Chinese movies as they are being made with no heart in them. This one is very refreshing. Didn't except much in terms of the acting parts but the plot is simple but in depth. I think the director did a REALLY good job in telling this story. Disc B is the best part of the whole movie as it really touches you. |

I give it a "B"
| The best conversation in this movie was when Jacee's mom told the father that she did not regret marrying him. Other than that, I found the movie slow moving and not real realistic espececially the lecture delivered by Fiona's father at court. This movie is probably for teenager and to teach them real life is hard (hard to get and keep jobs etc.)but how convenient is it that they got a free house to live in? I especially object to the fact that poor people are happier and rich people are more cold and distant. Jaycee's parents are so happy at the beginnig of the movie that it makes them look almost silly. As far as acting, I feel everyone did a good job but as far as entertainment value, I would say "B" |

Surprisingly Refreshing
| This movie was very impressing. The story line was very simple and straight forward but the script was very well written. Jaycee and Fiona's acting is very green so I can understand if it's lacking skills. The supporting cast did an outstanding performance. Eric, Theresa, Anthony, Canduce (all of the parents) were so good at their parts, there were many touching scenes. I highly recommend this movie to families with teenagers. Aside from the important message, there is a lot of comical relief with the way the director approached it. It's a Must See. |

Not too bad

Interesting topic - teen pregnancy. Not a theme found in most HK movies, so gotta give them credit for that. In terms of the storyline, I thought that it was ok - could have been a little more pursuasive. It makes a good attempt at making it realistic, but doesn't quite get there all the way (but hey, its a movie, its supposed to be fictional, so I won't nit-pick too much). I like the catch on the "psychology" behind the characters - how the young characters react to the problem, how they slowly become more distant to each other as the problem expands, the parents slowly accepting the problem and trying to help their children, etc. It also gives a pretty good take on how children feels when parents push them too far - a few pretty good underlying morals throughout the movie. On the practical end though (yes, this here is all nit-picking on some aspects of the story now): where on earth did they get the electricity and water from?! (They ran away to live in an abandoned village...). Also, it appears that they're in the middle of nowhere - how do they get in and out so easily? (walking for a few hours to reach the city? If it was close to the city, they should have been found pretty easily by the cops. Not that they have any other means of transportation either...). I also thought that the way the two teens fell in love to be a bit pushing it (not very believable). But then again, the story is mainly on teen-pregnancy, not how the two fell for each other, so I guess I can deal with that... Overall, I thought the young actor/actress's acting was a bit stiff - its ok since they're new people, but there's room for improvement. The parents were great though! A fairly good movie nontheless. Give it a try. |

Really! good!
|
I was getting my hair perm and end up watching the movie "2 young". Really! When I sat down in the salon chair, the hair stylist put on a movie to make the time go by faster. As the show progress, I completely fogot why I was there. It reached a point I was a little tick off, I've to get up and watch my hair. Really! An excellent movie and quite enjoyable. Eric Tsang, Teresa Mo, Canduce Yu and Anthony Wong were great as parents. Jaycee comes across as a young boy and he was good at it. Really! A must watch movie! |
