This customer review refers to Kanno Yoko & Sakamoto Maaya - Music of 23 O'clock (Korean Version)
Noone does anime OSTs better than Kanno Yoko Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
"Music of 23 O'Clock" is loaded with intriguing instrumental numbers, ranging from the big band jazz of the album's opening number, to piano jazz, to the undefinable magic that only Kanno Yoko delivers with such consistency. For me, the songs are less consistent. Tracks 2 and 3 likely will draw many fans, but to my ears they sound like songs that Bonnie Pink would reject as being too self-indulgent. The real gem among the songs is "Toto" (track 12); its soothing melody washes over you in the most pleasing fashion. All in all, "Music of 23 O'Clock" is another memorable collection from a one-of-a-kind artist.

Lovely Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Oh this is just a lovely cd.
So relaxing with it's gorgeous intrumentations and watery vocals.
Some beautiful piano work by Kanno Yoko as always, and Maaya's vocals and lyrics are top notch.
A disc for late at night indeed.

Relaxing... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I bought this CD only knowing that it was Yoko Kanno, I didn't really like Maaya Sakamoto, But now..Im head over heals. People say that her english is bad and not understandeable in this CD, But that's not true, you can understand her perfectly. The best song in this Cd must be "Here" Most of the songs on this Cd are instumental, but if you like Piano Jazz than you won't mind.

Marvelous Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
For people who follow the musical works of Yoko Kanno i can hardly express the beauty of this album, yet this one is very diferent, its more ambient-lounge type BUT remarkable songs that last. dont be fooled by other reviews saying that maaya sakamoto english is broken and not understandable, the girl is perfecting her english and in this album she´s wonderful.

The album opens with "2 things" a bossa nova song that will have your feet taping, song #2 "Here" is a masterpiece of all the Yoko Kanno and Maaya Sakamoto collaborations.
The most incredible song here that yoko kanno will remember forever is "Kissing the Christmas Killer" sung by the ever misterious Gabriella Robin. think of this song as a perfection of jin roh´s "Grace" song.

soothing.. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
songs on this OST are very quiet, kind of midday music. the best track is "Danielle" sung by Maaya Sakamoto in english, but you can hardly tell what she is saying. That's okay because her voice makes up for her accent. A mix of different types of music are presented here, including jazz, piano, and that Kanno style that makes her stand out from the rest of the japanese composers. If you like this I suggest getting the TOKYO SORA soundtrack by the same artist.
