Dubbed the female version of Big Bang, YG Entertainment's new girl group 2NE1 are releasing their first mini-album! Formed by petite rapper and group leader CL, Bom, Minzy, and Dara (Philippines idol Sandara Park), 2NE1 prove their stuff with this explosive seven-track release produced by 1TYM's Teddy, who also wrote most of the songs on the album. Teddy teams up with Kush to create electric hip-hop dance hits like the addictive single Fire and I Don't Care, a mid-tempo R&B number with a reggae melody. Masta Wu also helped lay down some lyrics for the party number Let's Go Party. The super rookies' colorful debut single Lollipop is included on the mini-album as a bonus track.

2NE1은 빅뱅과 함께 한 ‘Lollipop’이 방송출연 한번 없이 온라인 음악차트 1위자리를 석권한 가운데 연이어 발표한 첫번째 타이틀 곡 ‘Fire’가 또다시 국내음원차트1위 자리를 석권하는 기염을 토했다. 이어 싸이월드 디지털 뮤직어워드 3관왕, 지상파 가요프로그램 2주연속 1위를 차지하는 등 지난 몇달 동안 보여준 기록과 행적들은 신인그룹임에도 가히 폭발적이었다고 말할 수 있다.

2NE1의 신곡 “Idon'tcare”는 “롤리팝”과 “FIRE”를 작사, 작곡한 YG메인프로듀서 “테디”와 레게그룹 ”스토니스컹크”의 “쿠쉬”가 공동작사, 작곡한 곡으로 오는 7월 8일에 발표할 2NE1의 첫번째 미니앨범에 수록 될 타이틀 곡이다.

2NE1이 이전에 발표한 곡들이 빠르고 강한 힙합사운드의 곡이었다면 7월 1일에 공개할 “I don't care”는 이전의 곡들에 비해 다소 부드러운 “레게 멜로디”가 가미된 미디움템포의 R&B POP 곡이다.

흔히들 여름에는 빠르고 신나는 곡이 어울린다고 생각할 수 있으나 더운 나라일수록 레게 음악을 더 많이 듣는 것처럼 “I don't care”가 지닌 중독성 강한 레게 멜로디는 올 여름을 겨냥한 YG와 2NE1의 야심작이기도 하다.

한편 이번 2NE1의 미니앨범 전곡은 7월 8일 온/오프라인을 통해 공개될 예정이다.

Not so good Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
Even though the songs were very creative and had good beats i still felt the songs were rather boring and never really listened to the song with a kind of feel. however if your a r/b fan then isuggest you might try buying it. overall it was just alright for me. not exactly a fan of this mini album, hoping 2ne1's next album is better.

Bigbang they are not Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Being a massive Bigbang fan I was so excited to get to listen to the supposed girl version of those K pop hotties!!!! After reading the positive reviews I immediately brought a copy. However I have to say that Bigbang these girls are not. Now don't get me wrong their songs are okay, none of them are terrible but only two of them stand out as something original and different the first being Pretty Boy and the second Lollipop, alhtough I think I only really like Lollipop because suprize, suprize it features Bigbang!!!!! To me these girls don't really push the boundries or try to do something new and fresh, there songs sound the same and although they are perfectly fine songs they don't go that extra mile to being brilliant. I also think that only two of the group are really good singers, I think its CL and Dara, the other two don't seem to really come across in the songs and I think that CL is a better singer than rapper. Overall these girl's look great (a good photo book is included) but I don't think they sound great ... just yet! This is only their first mini album so there is plenty of time for them to perfect their sound and image....good luck to them I say but give me the Bang boys any day!!!!

Its like BANG!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
First time i heard of them was when i was looking for some bigbang songs... :D i was actually sooo impressed with the Lollipop MV that i just had to look them up entirely.

Since i got the CD i always have it on playback and its become my favorite to drive around and listen to with all my friends.

Every single song is absolutely great. Love the beats and the girls of course. :D

I totally recommend this album. I know that in the future all we can expect from them is good good things.

To all of you guys and girls out there, that are open to listening to some Korean pop or music. I highly recommend that you buy this album. It's one of those album that has tons of songs that you never get tired listening to, after listening to it almost everyday (like my sister does) or 100 times, I guarantee you that it will never get old. I like how even though most of the songs in this album is about a girl loosing her boyfriend, it does not sound that depressing.

After seeing and listening to their commercial for "Lollipop" with big bang collaboration. i think this girls really showed what true professional are (even though they haven't even debuted at that time). It really had a very catchy tune to it. Their first song called "Fire" was really very strong and catchy for a beginners which is a good thing and it really did get a lot of attention from the viewers. Also the music video is very cool. The song " I don't care" which came out in three version ( I think the last version or what others called the unplugged or reggae is my favorite version) is one of my favorite song in this album. I gave credit to Dara unnie for doing a good job acting in the music video ( you guys should watch it). "In the club" was slow but has an RnB feeling to it, very soothing but you can still dance to it. "Let's go party" was very entertaining to me specially the beginning part were everyone said "let's go party" in different language (Cl in french, Minzy in Japanese, Dara in Tagalog and Boom in Korean). "Pretty boy" which they used to introduced everyone in the group has a hip hop feeling to it and it makes you want to dance. And last but not definitely the least "Stay together" has a hip hop with RnB feeling to it very pleasant to hear.

Everyone in the group contributed a lot that made this album the best and the best girl group i have seen. Cl is really good at transferring from rapping to singing reggae specially in " I don't care". Minzy at such a young age, all I can say is that she is a very talented girl in dancing and singing. Dara is such a cutie pie but you better watch out cause if she gets you, you will be totally suck in to her cuteness. Boom is such a good singer. No wonder YG Entertainment recruited this group and made it into a group of blooming flowers and talents that are yet to be seen by the whole world. So if you guys have not bought this album or at least listened to it, you are missing how wonderful music is.

I enjoy listening to the songs in this CD sooo much. The pictures in the booklet are pretty too. I am soo waiting for their full length album:D They all have their own charms. 2NE1 truly is the new evolution. They ROCK! Hwaiting!!!
