Directors Chukiat Sakveerakul (The Love of Siam), Prachya Pinkaew (Ong Bak, Chocolate), Bhandit Thongdee (Mercury Man), and Rashane Limtrakul (Romantic Blue) muse about whim and romance in four very different shorts that range from comedy and melodrama to action and fantasy. 4 Romances brings together some of Thai Cinema's best and brightest young stars including Mario Maurer, Pitch, and Kanya Rattanapetch from The Love of Siam and Apinya Sakuljaroensuk from Ploy.

Rashane Limtrakul's vibrant youth comedy "Kiss" revolves around the showdown between teen player Ped and his friend Beaver (Mario Maurer), whose girlfriend (Apisara Tatti) Ped has set his eyes on. Bundit Thongdee's melodrama "Shy" follows a rich girl (Kanya Rattanapetch) who travels to a tropical island for vacation only to find that her tour guide is her ex-boyfriend (Pakorn Chadborirak) with whom she shares a complicated past. Better known for action, Prachya Pinkaew presents the intriguing short "Sweet", which jumps around in time to reveal the dark and mysterious story of middle-aged couple Shane (Shahkrit Yamnarm) and Waan (Suthida Kasemsan na Ayutthaya). Chukiat Sakveerakul's animation-filled pop fantasy short "Dream" takes an obsessed fan (Jenjira Jamniansri) on a loopy adventure with her idol, Love of Siam band August Band, who have sold their souls to the devil.
