Surprisingly un-cliche for a Korean pop-trio album

I usually have low expectations for yet another Korean pop band, because all their tunes sound the same. However, this particular album caught my attention (I am an avid music listener from all genres) and I wonder if it was produced by a non-Korean producer. It was refreshingly innovative and melodic. One song in particular "sometin' sometin'" was similar to Robin Thicke/Justin Timberlake's high pitched male voice singing sweetly like honey to an R&B song. It was beautiful. Very good album, I am still surprised. I think Korean pop music is taking a change for the better. |
