'91年12月から講談社刊「なかよし」に連載された武内直子の原作によるコミック「美少女戦士セーラームーン」は、'92年にはTVアニメ化されて話題となり、その後劇場版アニメやミュージカルも大ヒットするなど、社会現象と言われるほどの一大ブームを巻き起こした。また、2003年にはテレビ実写版も放映され、好評を博した。
本作には、1997年7〜8月に行われた年サマースペシャルミュージカル「美少女戦士セーラームーン 永遠伝説」から7月26日、東京・池袋サンシャイン劇場での公演の模様を収録。主人公・セーラームーン役の大山アンザほか美少女戦士たちの活躍を、存分に堪能することが出来る。
銀河TV全国高校対抗ドラマ合戦の収録に参加したうさぎたち。収録を楽しむうさぎたちだったが、間近に危機が迫っていた…。

Not Just for Sailor Moon Fans Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
It's true that only hard core Sailor Moon fans will enjoy the anachronism presented in this musical. Two villians (Galaxia and Beryl) take on the Senshi by joining forces. Although the Senshi are numerous this time (including the Starlights, Outers, and ChibiChibiMoon) it's still not enough. Especially when two of the Generals, the Animates, and Evil Endymion are all the foes the Senshi will be facing. I won't ruin anymore of the plot but the songs are worth listening to, especially La Fatalite de L'amour, which was an excellent finish the story. Other senshi also have their own sequences.

Despite this, people of all ages should enjoy it simply for its amazing Theatrical Presentation and energy. The perfomers exhibit amazing enthusiasm and the Comedy sequences such as the Showcase Comedy lessen the tension of the drama.

You don't need to know Japanese in order to understand the plot and enjoy the story. A lot of it can be understood through the actions, as with any good musical.
