A Killer's Blues (VCD) (Hong Kong Version) VCD

Shaw Brothers legend Ti Lung stars as a reformed hitman in the 1990 triad actioner A Killer's Blues. The film is directed by Raymond Lee, who went on to make Dragon Inn and Swordsman III: East is Red, and produced by Raymond Wong. With Ti in the leading role, A Killer's Blues is already automatically a cut above the average 90s triad flick, and the film skillfully hits the right notes with a one-two punch of gunplay action and gangster melodrama. A Killer's Blues also features supporting outings from familiar names like Mark Cheng (Election II), Roy Cheung (Infernal Affairs II), Fennie Yuen (Bullet in the Head), and Shaw Bros. star Lo Lieh.

Fourteen years ago, Wai Yat Ming (Ti Lung) went to the US to settle affairs for triad boss Sun (Bao Fang), but ended up in prison. Finally free again, Wai wants to start over with his girlfriend (Olivia Cheng) and adopted daughter (Fennie Yuen), but he finds it hard with Sun's feuding son and nephew, Kit (Mark Cheng) and Chong (Roy Cheung), constantly raising trouble in the gang. Seeing his own misguided past in them, Wai fruitlessly tries to guide them in the right direction. He eventually decides to make a clean break and leave Hong Kong, but Sun's sudden death pulls him back into the violence of the underworld.

韋一鳴(狄龍 飾)十四年前為報孫老大(鮑方 飾)救命之恩，替其到美國清理黨派之爭，臨行前托女友謝雪慧(鄭文雅 飾)到孤兒院，領養一名被鳴所殺的叛徒之四歲女兒謝雪鳴(袁潔瑩 飾)以補其疚。但鳴行動失敗，被判監十四年。鳴服監刑滿，立意重新做人並脫離黑社會，與慧及雪過正常安定的生活。孫組織有兩批年青人，孫英傑(鄭浩南 飾)及龐宗(張耀揚 飾)以挑戰舊勢力常生事為樂。鳴不希望年青人步自己後塵，屢次調停，但兩幫仍不斷蘊釀危機。鳴為女友和雪安危，在幾番勸說下決意離港免生是非。但離港前孫被暗殺，鳴為正義及挽救邊緣少年，再次被迫重拾手槍，但卻一時手下留情，反被對方槍傷。鳴忍痛負傷到達機場，倒於慧之懷中......

To repay Sun's (Pao Fong) kindness, Wai Yat Ming (Ti Lung) went to the United States to help Sun to settle the gang war conflicts fourteen years ago. Before he went, Wai asked his girlfriend Tse Shu Wai (Olivia Cheng) to adopt a child named Tse Shu Ming (Fennie Yuen) from an orphanage. Ming was the four years old daughter of a disloyal gang member who betrayed his comrades. He had been killed by Wai who had always regretted this impulsive act. Unfortunately, Wai's mission failed in the United States, he was caught and sent to prison for fourteen years. After Wai was released, he was determined to get out of the Triads and enjoyed a peaceful life with Tse and Ming. Sun has two gangs of youngsters, Sun Ying Kit and Pong Chung. They're happy in creating disputes. Since Wai does not want to see these youngsters following his steps, he tries to settle the problems each time, but troubles continue to stir up between the two gangs. For the safety of Tse and Ming, Wai decides to leave Hong Kong. However, Sun is killed before they could leave. To save the youngster, Wai is forced to pick up his gun again. In an incidence, Wai is too compassionate and he is shot by the opposing gang. At last, Wai goes to the airport, but has already seriously hurt. All he can do is to fall into Tse's arms in grief.
