A J-Pop classic Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
"a piece of life" is my favorite album from the lovely Matsu Takako. For anyone who is new to her music, I would recommend that you make this album your starting point. I believe it is her most immediately accessible of Miss Matsu's recordings. You will love it right from the first time you hear it. The album opens with two of her best songs and continues throughout to provide warm and wonderful listening pleasure, exquisitely crafted songs beautifully played and engagingly sung. "a piece of life" definitely has become a piece of my life.

Beautiful music... Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This album has many beautiful and soothing songs that are really worth the listen. Matsu is involved in some of the composition of the tracks found in "Piece of Life". I really like "Koishibito" and "Ame no Iro". Many of the songs fall under the "ballad" category and they are really sweet-sounding, especially coming from Matsu Takako herself. The songs are good enough to keep the soul in tranquilty but fans of fast and rock music may find the tempo too moderate for the taste. However, the album is not totally off-balanced. There are some quick-tempo songs that off-set the "ballad" effect. People favouring piano pieces may find this album satisfactory. All in all, "Piece of Love" is a relatively pleasing album by Matsu and I hope to see more of her works. (In fact, her new single "Hana no Youni" is out.)
