Ok movie... too slow. Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
Andy Lau in another role as a thief. This movie is not too bad. Watch it if you want to see good acting, nice scenery and a story line with morals. I think the main thing that ruined it for me was the pace of the movie was too slow. Felt like the whole movie was in slow motion.

Andy Lau has been making some good and quality movies since after he grab the best actor award from " Running Out Of Time ", and there is no exception of this one, eventhough is made in China, but is extraordinary good. Interesting plot, beautiful scenary and talented actors, what else can you ask more ?! and I personaly love the title in Chinese :
" TIEN SIAH WOO JEAY "

very beautiful film! i loved the intricate hand movements that were seemingly mixtures of dance and fighting. its a melodrama, but its very poignant and the ending is sufficient.

recommended if you like imagery in film.

As an Asian American who knows no Chinese, I had known Chinese cinema only through romantic comedies. This movie is different. It combines mesmerizing cinematic tactics with heartbreaking human emotions. It is both exciting and spellbinding. Head and shoulders above most American productions.

the beginning wasn't that great, i got bored from the beginning. To me, it wasn't great entertainment, i was waiting for the ending...But they had great acting there... ummm nice scenery i guess. movie talks about a very interesting topic..a place where there are always nice people. This innoence is so hard to find thesedays//

It's a great Chinese movie. I haven't seen convincing human emotions on screen for quite a long time. Perfect actors' play! Especially I liked Andy Lau, who masterly brings tears to his eyes making everybody around feel so sad about him. I find him very talented. Everything is good in this movie - professional acting, artistic camera work, beautiful music and dialogues that you wish to remember. The only thing I didn’t get is why this movie was soooooo long (almost two hours)? It could be much shorter.... Now about genres. This is not a comedy, nor it is an action movie (no kung-fu here). It's something in between drama, detective story and heartbreaking romance.

This is a double DVD edition of "A World Without Thieves", and I got my copy right after it was released together with 4 cards. English subtitles are great. I highly recommend the DVD!

This film is definitely worth watching!! The actors storyline were great!! The cinematography and music were beautiful!! It is a touching, moving film with some action!! The story is ordinary but extraordinary as it unfolds!! Just one tip, the tone of the film may be slow in the beginning but it will pick up and you will see....
