Afalean Lu Debut Album

Afalean Lu is the first of the Million Star Gang to release his solo album! With his sunshine smile and beautiful voice, 19-year-old Afalean finished in fourth place for the first season of Taiwan's immensely popular singing program One Million Star. Better known as Xiao Mei, a reference to his aboriginal Amis background, Afalean has a wide-ranging, comforting voice that draws from aboriginal folk, gospel, and R&B influences. After participating in the first Million Star album, Afalean struck out on his own and signed with Sony BMG, graduating from the Million Star crew with his solo debut.

Afalean's new album comes with ten tracks including touching ballad "Centrifugal Force" (Track 3), signature R&B number Don't Say No, and "If I Knew At First, Love" (Track 1), the theme song to the new period drama Tian Long Ba Bu. His wide vocal range is beautifully showcased in "The Two People Who Love Me" (Track 2), a melancholic song with a light tempo. This album also comes with some cover songs, revisiting Afalean's most memorable renditions during One Million Star. There's Mavis Fan's "Oxygen" (Track 6), Leehom Wang's "You're Not Here" (Track 7), and of course "Love So Simple" (Track 5) - when Afalean performed this David Tao classic in competition, judge Phil Chang declared that he sang it even better than Tao.
