YesAsia Editorial Description
All devotees of J-pop's spectacular trio can rejoice again as w-inds are back with their highly anticipated latest LP ageha! Usually the boys release a new major album each year, but due to the launch of their bestracks compilation last year the release of their fourth album had to be delayed ? however, the long waiting time of almost 1 1/2 years is finally over now.
This time around w-inds hopes to offer the music world more than just their fabulous dance tracks and emotional ballads that all their die-hard fans just can't get enough of, but also try to explore some other styles to expand their song variety. Music lovers can look forward to the boy's latest smashes Pieces, Kireida Four Seasons, and Yume no Basho e ("Heading towards a dream world") as well as their brand-new single hit Kawariyuku Sora ("Ever-changing sky"). As for listeners who are really looking for something completely new, they should check out the album's titular song ageha that shows w-inds stepping on all-new musical terrain - don't miss out!
This version comes with an exclusive DVD that features ageha's original MV.

This is surely a must buy album for the w-inds. fans and also people who love hip hop style song. The first song Lil' Crazy is nice, the feeling of sexiness which makes me think that w-inds. arent cute little boys anymore, they are now grown up and HOT. Party Down is a upbeat song, which makes me dance and it remind me of another song. The ballad songs are just great! It can really express how great keita's voice is, Ageha is really a song that i wont get sick of it. Gift is another great song, though i didnt stick in my head when i first heard it, but it grows through it .... Overall its a really really good album for your collection. |

I adore this album, just like I adore w-inds.. The only thing stopping me from giving this a full five stars is that a couple songs, like Lil' Crazy and Party Down, aren't really my style of music (though they do grow on you), but I don't have to skip far to get to the really amazing stuff. Shiki (number five) is my absolute favourite ever w-inds. song (closely followed by SUPER LOVER ~i need you tonight~, which got me into them, and Love is message, which is just too sweet) and I can listen to it countless times without getting sick of it. Ageha is absolutely gorgeous; can't get sick of that one easily, either; and Kirei da (number three) is so upbeat and pretty that it shocked me to find out it was a sad song - I think that made me love it more. The Ageha PV is really beautiful and sweet, even if you can't understand it; I especially love the backdrops when it focuses on the boys' faces; and who doesn't love to see making-of videos? Simply put: if you're a w-inds. fan, get this. I guarantee you'll love at least three songs. |

Initially when i first heard this album, i thought w-inds. are going into a horribly wrong direction. But after listening to it once, you can't help but hum along to the tunes again. As compared to their previous 3 albums, this indeed has a different genre and I think w-inds. excelled in the ballads as compared to the rock numbers. "Gift" and "Ageha" is definitely one of the best ballad i've ever heard, and if you understand the lyrics, i can assure you that you would be moved to tears. the only regret for me is that this album does not contain Ryuichi's and Ryohei's solo number.Something which i was hoping for. But overall this is a really great album and i think it w-inds. had changed from a typical boyband into a group that has potential. |
