　　北宋年間，富家子弟周通武功卓越，與親妹周吉常仗勢凌人，但侍母太君至孝，太君為使二人定性，決要二人成親。吉之未婚夫林喜聲被周通迫婚要入贅﹗大婚當日吉要他在褲胯下爬過去，聲氣憤逃走失蹤，太君一病不起。聲沿途行乞，巧遇相貌奇醜但武功奇高的豪傑母夜叉，夜叉仗義贈銀叫聲上京應考。吉獻計替母擺壽宴以沖喜，通同意並要找來城中魔術師高柏輝來表演。花田燈會中，魔術手街頭表演，顛到眾生，白家獨女白雪仙邂逅翩翩風度的輝後，輝仙相會為白父所知，白父以為愛女失身有孕，決意往找輝提親。
　　通莫明其妙之際，得睹雪仙之芳容，更想起婚姻囍事可替母沖喜，當下硬要娶雪仙過門，白鳳丸為救雪仙，找來輝易釵喬作女兒身，潛入白府迎救。卻被輝「美色所迷」，輝逃之夭夭。聲高中回來，但對吉言夫妻情斷，通要把一盆覆出的洗腳水收回盆內為妹挽回婚姻﹗

Happy New Year again every time I watched it. Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

All time funny movie.
Fabulous gags, mesmerizing singing and dancing routines and great chemistry between all the stars.
Teresa Mo was outstandingly funny as the Amazonish woman fighter trying to force first Leslie and then Sam to go to bed with her.
One of Rosamund Kwan' best moment on screen when she sing and danced divinely with Leslie...
No wonder the movie was so good, I found out later that it was directed by the great Ko Chi Sum.
