ageha (CD+DVD)(Limited Edition)(Japan Version)
June 23, 2005 change of tone... and tunesEvery artist will reach a transitional point at one point in their careers, and W-inds.' "Ageha" turned out to be quite a transitional album! From pop to soulful rock, W-inds. have come out of their teenage shells and developed a taste for a more mature, wide-range of songs. The first track "Lil Crazy" best exemplifies the combination of the old pop W-inds. mixing with a new tribal/pop beat. The ballads "Ageha" and "Gift" are songs with full vocals and chorus that definitely reach out to the listeners. The most shocking tracks may be "Party Down" and "Color Me", with key range and melodies unfamiliar to the old W-inds. style, however both are good changes. Supplementing the five singles, the album binds some great threads of change for W-inds. Fans will get a little taste of everything that W-inds. have been experimenting with... this album certainly does not disappoint! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)
