From the late 1980s to the mid-90s, popular singer Hacken Lee shot a drama with TVB almost every year. His healthy image and easygoing comedic talents made him a great candidate for youth dramas and romantic comedies like Two of a Kind, A Life of His Own, and 1992's Angel's Call. Hacken Lee's co-star in Angel's Call is none other than Miss Hong Kong Anita Yuen, still a newcomer to acting at the time but already displaying the kind of natural talent and charisma that would later bring her Best Actress trophies at the Hong Kong Film Awards. The two young stars ignite new romantic sparks in this metropolitan romance with a divine twist. The drama boasts the talented supporting cast of Rain Lau, Fan Yit Man, Wong Yat Sun, and movie actor Chow Man Kin in a rare television appearance as the titular angel. Angel's Call is also the very drama that spawned the immensely popular theme song "Red Day" by Hacken Lee.

Ng Fu Kei (Hacken Lee) is always dreaming about getting rich, and it looks like his dream has come true when he discovers a fallen angel (Chow Man Kit). It turns out though that other than a photogenic memory, this tall and doofy angel doesn't really have any special powers to offer. If anything he only brings more trouble to Kei who's already got enough headaches on hand, as he tries to deal with a blossoming love triangle with San San (Anita Yuen) and Yan (Fan Yit Man).

吳福基（李克勤）聰明伶俐，常夢想可以一朝發達。一天，基遇到被人造衛星撞落的天使（周文健），滿以為天降財神，但發覺天使常帶來不少麻煩，令基頭痛非常。天使與性格火爆衝動的C.I.D.蘇翼（劉玉翼）以假結婚為名欲取得居港權，一對歡喜冤家因共處一室而產生不少事端。

基因常參予教會活動而與在安老院工作的凌姍姍（袁詠儀）種下愛苗，可惜地產商人余慈光（黃一山）不惜用卑鄙手段收購老人院，其妹余慈恩（樊亦敏）不藉光所為，與眾老人聯合對抗，亦因此而介入基與姍的感情中，形成一段錯綜複雜的三角關係。

Brilliant Kei (Hacken Lee) always dreamt of becoming rich some day. Once he met an Angel (Chow Man Kin) who fell from the sky. Kei thought he was lucky and brought the Angel home. He was disappointed when everything went wrong. The Angel married Chui (Rain Lau) in pretense for the right of abode. The troubles keep coming in ever way...

Kei met San (Anita Yuen), who worked in the elderly home, among the church activities and they fell in love. Good things won't stay long, a businessman, Kong (Wong Yat Shan) launched a takeover of the home in every means. His sister, Yan (Amy Fan) did not agree to him and therefore, joined San and the others to oppose him. Then, Yan found she had fallen in love with Kei...
