Popular actresses Esther Kwan and Joyce Tang play Hong Kong's first policewomen with guns in the 1998 TVB action drama series Armed Reaction! It was not until the 1990s that the female constables in the Hong Kong police force began to be equipped with firearms. That change prompted TVB to produce this highly rated series where the girls are at the forefront of every exciting action and fierce gunfights! But even a heroine would need the comfort and support of man sometimes, so Esther and Joyce are paired with television leading men Bobby Au Yeung and Marco Ngai respectively (as a side note, Marco would begin a real relationship with Joyce after co-starring in this drama). Audience liked Armed Reaction so much that three sequel series were made within six years of the first.

Inspired by her uncle Chan Siu Sang (Bobby Au Yeung) who is a police officer, Chan Sam Yuen (Joyce Tang) has decided to join the police force right after graduation. She becomes one of the first policewomen with guns in Hong Kong alongside Chu So Ngo (Esther Kwan), who chooses to leave her desk job and go to the frontline after an ugly divorce. A new romance is budding when So Ngo meets Siu Sang. Disliking each other at first, the two gradually find themselves attracted to the other. Meanwhile, Sam Yuen is transferred to the anti-prostitution unit headed by Ching Fung (Marco Ngai). Both headstrong characters, they often have conflicts at work, but would gradually find a common ground between them after going through many ups and downs together...

　　三元表現出色，獲調往「反色情組」，跟辦事嚴謹的程峰（魏駿傑）合作，二人意見分歧，時有衝突，幸最終化敵為友，成為好「兄弟」。其後元驚覺自己愛上了峰，但當二人走在一起時，元又突然卻步……
