It's been quite a while since duo As One, known for R&B and mellow ballads, released their 4th album Restoration. Finally, after 2 years they are back to present more soulful melodies on their fifth album titled "12 Tears Shed Upon Leaving". The duo's latest 13-track release includes the principal track "12 Nights" (Track 5), as well as "Louie" (Track 6), the theme song played in the Lee Jeong Beom movie Cruel Winter Blues starring Jo Han Sun, who can also been seen in the song's music video.

가슴으로 노래하는 꿈결 같은 목소리 As One이 2년 만에 돌아왔다.
"AS ONE 의 5집 앨범 “이별이 남기는 12가지 눈물”이 담고 있는 가장 큰 의미는 서정적인 감미로움으로 그녀들의 음성에서 느껴지는 시적인 감미로움을 노래 하나하나의 색다른 스토리에 담아내어 한편의 시집을 연상케 함으로써 사랑으로 겪을 수 있는 아픔, 슬픔, 기쁨, 또는 후회 등을 누구에게나 가슴으로 느껴질 수 있도록 편안하게 한 장의 앨범으로 표현해 냈다. 흔한 사랑 얘기를 노래한다고 모두 똑같은 감동을 줄 수 있는 것은 아니다. 그동안 고집해 오던 가성 창법의 변화, 좀 더 편안하고 감동적으로 다가갈 수 있도록 as one의 노력으로 일궈낸 하나의 결실이라 해도 과언이 아니라 말할 정도로 이젠 예쁜 목소리만 내는 가수를 탈피, 아름다우면서도 가슴을 적시는 음성을 표현해내기 위해 2년이라는 시간도 그녀들에겐 부족했을 것이다.
만약 그녀들의 색다른 변화를 기대했다면 이번 5집은 그 기대에 충분한 만족을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 특히 타이틀곡 “十二夜”는 “As One이 아니면 표현해 내지 못했을 것”이라는 말이 나올 정도로 독특한 as one만의 장르를 새롭게 펼쳐내는 곡이라 할 수 있다. 6일이란 시간이 나에겐 12밤이 되었다는 뜻의 제목부터 그대를 그리워하는 12가지 밤을 묘사한 가사와 소름을 돋우는 as one의 간절한 목소리 반복적인 멜로디와 함께 듣는 이들로 하여금 감성의 눈물을 맛보게 해줄 수 있을 것이다.
또한, 앨범 수록곡들 중 “열혈남아”주제곡으로 선정된 ‘루이’, 보사노바 풍의 “사람은 사람으로 잊는 거라죠”, as one의 색다른 시도가 돋보이는 “앞으로”등의 노래는 전혀 다른 곡들이지만 이 한 장의 앨범에 담겨져 각 각의 빛을 발하고 있다. 다시 말해 이번 5집 앨범 한 장으로 사람이 살면서 사랑으로 느낄 수 있는 감정들을 13트랙에 걸쳐 잔잔히 우리에게 들려준다는 것이다. 다르지만 또 같게.. 그게 as one이 아직도 우리에게 사랑받는 이유이기도 하니 이번 앨범은 드디어 ‘참 as one 스럽다’는 말이 절로 나온다.

Good Album
| This album was really good, i got it last month, with 2 other cds. If you liked As One in the past, you would like this album as well. Very soothing Ballad songs. All songs are good. |

CANT BELIEVE how good this is
| wow... i am totally blown away by the SPECTACULARNESS of this album!! It's TOP NOTCH~ i like practically all of the songs and their voices are SOOOOOO good. R&B vibes, totally chillout music~ this is the first time i've heard their album and cant wait to listen to their older stuff! |

BEST CD EVER
| This is the greatest and best CD in the universe. I liked it so much that I bought cds for all my family and friends so I'd be able to listen to it in their cars as well. Then I bought their older cds too in hopes that they would sound like this one. They were different, but just as good. They should make an "As One: Collection" compilation of all 5 cds plus a dvd with all their music videos and concerts (you should all check them out on youtube in the meantime) to save a consumer like me time and money. I am going to fly to korea once I save up enough to see them in concert. Then I will ask Crystal out to dinner and possibly a movie. It will be sweet. AS ONE IS THE BEST!!!!! |

Teeny Bopper Amazing

As One has always been known for their angel soft voices.. I've heard a little preview from a website of some of their songs and they sound great as always but this time just with a bit more maturer feel.. this album is full of emotion when i first listened to track 2 "Still" I can feel the emotional relation with it |
