Kidman stars as an English aristocrat who travels down under and hires a local herdsman (Jackman) to help protect the sprawling ranch she inherited. Together, they trek across the rugged, hostile landscape of the vast continent and gradually develop an unlikely romance, only to be faced with the cruelty of war when Japanese forces attack the city of Darwin. The Hong Kong version DVD contains deleted scenes, a making-of, a trailer, and behind-the-scene footage.
