Amazing as always! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a long concert! It's really great though, and I love that it's one of her more theatrical shows. A lot to see and enjoy along with Ayu's incredible voice. My favorites are the classics like Vogue and Real Me, Unite!, Surreal, Evolution, Boys & Girls (fun!) ... All so good. Her voice is just beautiful especially when she sings "Over" and "Scar." Just touching.

This is a fresh concert with songs old and new, and I highly recommend you purchase this CDL for your Ayumi collection. No set would be complete without it.

 Brilliant mix of old and new! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a brilliant concert that show cases why Ayumi Hamasaki is a star in Japan and Asia! At over 3 hours long, Ayumi manages to sing, dance and perform her way through the 08-09 new year concert. Most of the songs that she sang were earlier hits from the first half of her career. Some of the songs debuted as part of a major Ayu concert set list. I must say, I was very impressed with the performances of some of the old songs and how they were condensed and mixed to flow seemlessly with her newer songs. Each costume change represented a vignet and told a story of love and loss, or fun and vitality or hope. I'd recommend this concert to anyone who loves Ayumi's music and to those who are just a bit apprehensive about Ayumi's showmanship and performance. Ayumi proves that she is not only a singer, but a professional and humble entertainer and performer.

 Just Excellent!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This was in fact Ayu's best Countdown Live ever. She performed really well (as did everyone else) despite her injured bad hand. Watching the Making Clip afterwards you can see just how much pain she was truly in, which makes me even more proud of her for going ahead with the show at all. This is also part of what makes me idolize her and the majority of the Japanese people in general. Anyways, all the performances were just excellent with many different costumes, lightings props, some nice great speeches and jokes during the mic, an awesome short guitar solo by her guitarist during an interlude and more. I really felt myself having just as much fun as the people who were there did. It's a great addition to your DVD collection, and I reccomend it all the way.

PS. As for the Chinese subs problem, I don't know what to say. I bought the Japan Version. However, if there's no option on the menu to shut them off, sometimes pressing the "Subtitle" or "Captions" button on the remote a few times manages to work for me with other DVDs I own, so give that a try. Can't guarantee it'll work, but it's worth a try.
