April 17, 2006 Wonderfullly made TV seriesI have watched about 30 Korean TV series. Jewel in the Palace is truly the most wonderful one in these movies. I am so happy that I have this series in the family movie library. The story line is very intelligent, the casting is superb, the music, the scenery, the dialogue among characters, I am eagerly give them 2 thumbs up. I feel grateful to everyone who has made this series a reality, and it enriches my life so much. The bad news is , this movie also makes me feel so bored watching other movies. To me, this series is the first-rated movie ever. Million thanks to the people who have put the English subtittles in for me and my husband to enjoy it. Did you find this review helpful? April 13, 2006 A big disappointmentI like Choi Ji Woo (CJW) in Winter Sonata, and Lee Byung Hoon (LBH) in Addicted, therefore, I watched this series. what a big disappointment. The storylines is incredibly unbelievable. How could CJW keep quiet without explaining to her "sister" that she could not have made it for their rendez-vous at the Seoul Tower due to a serious car accident. How could CJW tolerate the insult and rudeness from LBH? CJW cries so much in this movie to the point that I am tired to see it and I thought if i were a friend with such a wimpy girl like her, I would be very unlucky. the acting of the 2 main characters is so boring, the same as other movies they were in.
