She's coming back strong!
| Approaching Baek Ji Young's seventh album, the listener has two questions: 1) After her surgery, can she still sing? and 2) How is this new set of songs? I am happy to report that Miss Baek still sounds great, perhaps with a bit less of a smoky quality to her voice, but still unmistakably Baek Ji Young. And I'm equally pleased to report that this new album serves up eleven solid tracks, with a return to an emphasis on very catchy dance tracks. While only track 7 has anything resembling the Latin beats that made Miss Baek famous, the variety of sounds and styles on offer here make this one of her most consistently listenable albums. Highly recommended. |
