横山やすし、西川きよしの2人がコンビを組んで活動を始めたのは昭和41年。翌年には上方漫才大賞の新人賞に輝き、瞬く間にお笑い界の頂点にまで上りつめた。さらに昭和50年代後半の漫才ブームではリーダーとしてお笑い界を牽引。昭和初期にエンタツ・アチャコが始めた"しゃべくり漫才"は、やすきよによって完成されたとも言える。しかし、横山やすしは51歳の若さでこの世を去り、ファンの前にやすきよの2人が姿を現すことは無くなってしまった。 ■映像特典：やすしきよし漫才秘話（5）（6）
