세계2차 대전 노르망디 상륙작전이 일어나기 몇 시간 전 연합군은 적 후방에 미 제101 및 82공수사단을 투입하려 한다. 이 중 제101사단 506연대 2대대 '이지 중대'는 1942년부터 커레히 산기슭의 부대에서 편성되어 중대장 소벨 대위의 지휘 아래 혹독한 훈련을 거친다. 그 후 이지 중대는 유럽으로 배치돼 상륙작전을 기다리면서 훈련에 전념한다.
<밴드 오브 브라더스>는 2차 세계대전 전문 역사학자 스티븐 앰브로즈의 원작 소설을 영화화했으며 노르망디 상륙작전을 앞두고 유럽에 배치돼 혹독한 훈련을 받는 '이지 중대'의 대원들을 주인공으로, 전쟁의 참모습과 진정한 영웅상을 그려낸 작품이다. 특히, 전쟁의 참혹함과 그 속에서 피어나는 전우애를 감동적으로 다뤄 작품성과 흥행성을 고루 갖췄다는 평가를 받았다. 덕분에 2002 골든 글로브 TV 시리즈 영화부문 최우수 작품상, 미국영화연구소(AFI)가 제정한 'AFI 어워즈' TV 영화 미니시리즈 부문 최우수 작품상을 석권하는 등 화려한 수상경력을 자랑한다. 특히, <밴드 오브 브라더스>는 복장과 세트 등의 사실적 재현에 엄청난 제작비를 투자하여 <라이언 일병 구하기>를 능가하는 사실적인 전쟁씬으로 화제가 되었다.

This is by far one of the most beautiful editions I ever saw. I guess I will never regret this buy.
10 points for the series and 10 points for the package.

I am from germany and I am a bit jealous all this tremendous editions being released in asia only. But as long as yesasia ships world wide. :)

I'm french but i speak english.
this dvd edition is tremendous.this edition doesn't exist in france, there is just a metal box edition
with no bonus like include in this fantastic edition.
So i'm very happy to have bought it.
Don't hesitate, you won't regret it.

This series is one of the great product of Steven Spilberg & Tom Hanks. If u like combat movies, This is a good one for collection. Compare with others, this series is less violence & lenient.
