Set in an apartment building, this award-winning comedy-cum-social satire is a story about a university lecturer, his neighbors puppy and the apartment's clerk.
A university lecturer (Lee Sung Jae), snapped one night at the incessant barking of a neighbors puppy, abducted the dog and exacted his revenge. But unfortunately for him, he didn't quite get the peace and quiet he desired. Meanwhile, the apartment building's clerk (Bae Du Na) received a complaint from a young girl about her missing puppy...

Entertaining

...well untill it stops barking.
| I saw this film as part of the Melbourne International film festival. It was a strong story about an Academic and his desire to become a professor, while dealing with a dog that never stops baking in his appartment block. I found this movie refreshing, and a joy to watch. I would recomend it to anyone who wants something a little different, with a great story, and good acting, and a few good laughs along the way. |

A simply complex dark comedy (huh?)
| A new favorite. It tops my slowly (but surely) growing list of good Korean movies. Got dogs? I still have no idea what the theme is or whether if it's supposed to even have a theme, so many ideas are left to dangle about you. I can't even decide whether I should like the main character--you can't dislike him despite the fact that he... You'll just have to watch. Got any luck? It seems simple...but watch the odd things the camera picks up on--objects, actions, character quirks... Joining the rat masses? It's offbeat, fun, but definitely NOT just another movie. What do YOU reflect??? |

It wasn't bad
| This movie didn't amaze me that much, but it was okay. I only laughed a bit but I'd watch it again. The best parts were the way the movie filmed with the color and slow motion, and the music... It felt like I was watching an episode of Cowboy Bebop or something, especially the final struggle scene for the dog. Also the crazy dog-eating scenes. Those were funny to see. |
