As soon as Lisa graduates from from her Sendai high school, she leaves home to begin her journey to America, where she's to continue her studies. When she gets to Tokyo, she decides to make some quick cash by selling her old school uniform to a sex shop, where she is also given the opportunity to don a uniform once again for a video with a number of other girls. Unfortunately, Lisa's money is soon stolen, and she finds herself desperate for cash. When one of the other girls on the shoot lets her know that she can make big money quickly by going on "dates" with older Japanese men, she decides to try it and becomes immersed in a world where a man will pay a young girl to do any number of bizarre things, from the mundane and innocent to the perverse.

Excellent look at the life of a Kogal Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
An interesting look into the world of trendy young girls in Japan and what they will do in order to afford the latest fashions. When one girl sees her hopes of studying abroad nearly taken from her, she turns to the help of one of these kogals. She too is then exposed to the seedy world of men taking advantage of these girls materialistic desires in exchange for pleasure. Quite often a sad film that manged to give me hope for the girls in the end. I'm glad I purchased it.

Great actors! Great Soundtrack!
One of the best japanese films, I've ever seen.
At first, a little bit shocking ... but it is a superb film.
Sometimes funny, sometimes very sad!
When you see this film for the first time,
you will think, japanese are all a little bit perverted.
But not everybody in japan is like that:)
However, it is an unbelievable nice film.

This Fuji-TV-financed film opened a lot of eyes on its release, and still carries quite a punch as it explores the ko-gal scene.

Where do Japanese girls get all the money to buy brand-name accessories and the latest styles? That may be as far as many want to go with their disposable income, but when one girl wants to follow her studies in the USA, her new friends set up a series of moneymaking ventures that are more than slightly risque -- and sometmes dangerous.

Immensely enjoyable, low-key drama -- funny and sad.

Girl POWER! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
This is one of the few Japanese movies that i can honestly say that it was good. It has girls running around trying to make a buck and the troubles of how real life can be a wondering journey, or an exciting destination. This movie dealt with many subjects ignored now-a-days... like teen prostitution and abortion. After watching this movie, i felt a sense of happiness that these girls provided each other friendship when the situaiton looked grim. It has a nice plot.
