September 19, 2007 a true come back~...after the completion of glitter/fated ayu and her team immediately went into the writing of [talkin` 2 myself]. i have to admit, when i heard of the title at first, i wasn`t too impressed. the songs however, completely make me forget any doubts i had about this single. this, i feel, is true ayu, and a refreshing rock song. i wasn`t as impressed with previous singles, but this just brings back the reasons as to why i really like ayumi hamasaki. you`d think the coupling song, [decision], would be the complete opposite, slow tempo and soft, but it is also a rock song. a completely different feel, but a very satisfying sound. the orchestra version of [fated] is a very nice rendition, and not what i expected at all compared with previous orchestra versions.
the dvd includes a PV for both [talkin` 2 myself] and [decision]. you really don`t want to miss ayu dancing in the rain and mud, not to mention her grundgey image in [talkin` 2 myself].
for a comment on the covers, i actually like them. though a bit plain, i feel they are reminiscent of the old ayu, an image that many remember during her days of [evolution] when she had rather short hair.
if you`ve started to loose interest, or doubt ayu`s music latley, this is one single that will turn that opinion around. many of my friends that like and don`t like ayu, have been impressed by this single, lyric and music wise. without any doubt, i`m sure this single will top the charts and be very successful, don`t miss out!

June 24, 2007 [glitter/fated] Summer releaseThere have been many opinions circling around Ayumi Hamasaki`s new release [glitter/fated]. Though my opinion doesn't speak for everyone, I will say that I enjoyed the songs on this single. [glitter] is very much an Ayu "Summer song"; an uplifting, up-beat song that encourages the listener to have fun and 'shine'. [fated] balances the single, being of slower pace, with soft electric-guitars and other instruments.
the dvd will feature a PV for both songs, and probably a 15-minute extended version of [fated]. both filmed in Honk Kong, many are anticipating the video for [fated]. Co-starring with Shawn Yu, the video shows a tragic love story between the two, and features Ayu even running in a wedding dress.
[glitter] is the theme song for Zespli Gold Kiwis while [fated] is the theme for movie "Ghost Story". Be sure to pick up this CD+DVD edition and enjoy the single and long DVD!Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This)

June 24, 2007 2-years in the making [PLAY]Namie Amuro's much anticipated album since 2005, surely delivers some of her best work. With a marching-pace, mad-beat opening like [HIDE & SEEK] one can`t help but listen to the rest of the album. It will leave you feeling energetic and satisfied.
Namie had the intention of having the audience feel as if they were 'marching' into the album and leaving the album with the song [Pink Key]. The album`s origin is centered around the song [FUNKY TOWN], an up-beat song that gave Namie the idea for the listener to be surrounded by the tracks as different aspects of the 'Funky Town'. With this said, the album has quite a few different arrangements, that truley depict Amuro`s style.
The DVD features Amuro`s latest PVs (promotional videos) as well as two brand-new ones, [HIDE & SEEK] and [Hello]. The DVD also features a collaboration of Amuro with the popular cartoon, The World of GOLDEN EGGS. Similar with [Queen of Hip Pop]'s pink-panther collaboration, Amuro liked The World of GOLDEN EGGS so much that she decided to play a voice for one of the characters; thus the short movie is called "Gushiken Band feat. September 18, 2005 How does she visualize these things...I can now understand why one DVD wasn`t enough for this amazing concert. This is by far probably one of the best (if not the best) concert tours she has ever done; she definatley pushed the envelope, by incorporating many new things such as water. It`s hard to believe that practically everything is visualized by just her, every performance has something to awe and be amazed about (i don`t mean just because it`s Ayu, but by the performances themselves). I will give away one thing to the performances (that doesn`t ruin or spoil the potential of this concert), that the use of the largest LCD screen I have ever seen at a concert is truely breath taking. She uses it to an extreme advantage and turns the arena into an even more surreal environment. While the only thing that bothers me is that the encore starts on the 2nd disc, it definatley doesn`t ruin the mood, for these DVDs are loaded w/ extras and special features; a huge line-up of back-stage cuts, 'master of ceremony speeches' at every tour location and even more. a very entertaining 3-DVD set and something an Ayu fan should really not miss out on. September 18, 2005 continues to amaze...before the release or leaks about this single i had no idea what kind of song to look forward to. upon listening to the single for the first time, i was glad to hear that she went for a slower tempo that built up. the two main songs [HEAVEN] and [Will] definatley have a more asian feel to them. Even though [HEAVEN] is the theme song for the movie "SHINOBI", [Will] fits it just as well (especially when watching the CM that uses this song, where Ayu depicts a geisha and even speaks the dialect). [HEAVEN] is definatley not your typical 'slow' ayu song, the structure and instruments used do the song much justice w/ the main chorus more than two minutes into the song. [over the rainbow]'s everlasting beat really gives a sense to the song. [inspired from red & blue] is a more softer song, but still shows a lot of beat. this single shows that not only does globe still got it in them to write great music, but that komuro tetsuya still can come up with memorable and fantastic songs. marc's 'rap' lyrics are still amusing to listen to and are a plus to the songs. keiko's unique singing style is great to listen to over and over again. one of these two songs will surley stick in your head for some period of time. May 18, 2001 Endless sorrow...
i thought the song Endless sorrow was ok, once again mellow like NEVER EVER. the lyrics seem a bit, sad and lonely. 'cause i remember reading she writes lyrics about how she currently feels. maybe shes not very happy. i really like the cover though. this is a good slow beat song, but since im more of a fan of her up-beat songs, i didnt give it a ten, its still good though! April 8, 2001 A Best Albumi like this album a whole lot! it was cool how she re-recorded the first three songs, A Song for XX, Trust, and Depend on you. Comparing it with the original versions is interesting, 'cause it shows how much her voice has progressed. im one of those people who have to have everything that comes with something, but that cant happen 'cause, there are 6 different covers or something for the case booklet of this album! so, someone else who has this album, the case booklet could look different from someone else's! its all cool though, im happy with the picture that i got. anyway, if you dont have then buy! then theres this site thing with access! go buy!
