June 6, 2006 This movie actually was GREATWhat a hidden gem this movie was !!! I'm so glad to have seen one of David Chiang's early works as a young chap ! I'm guessing this movie was made approx. 1968-9.
This is a love story about a rich girl falling in love with a poor young man from the wrong side of town. David Chiang has a small role playing an employee of the Boss of the older daughter ( she falls for the main charactor) There were good plots, story & lots of surprise endings. You will like this movie if you have a soft spot for romance and love stories. But if you are a fan of David Chiang.......you would not want to miss this !Did you find this review helpful? David took a gamble & did not play the starring roll this time. His choice with casting was an excellent one. Each actor & actress shined and played their role exceptionally well.
I enjoyed the fighting in the house towards the end.

David Chiang took a very different approach to show us the nitty-gritty of what drug addicts go through, we were able to see this through the eyes of Ti Lung. Indeed it was a very different movie from what we were used to seeing by Chang Cheh.
