January 6, 2007 it is OKthe first time i heard Elva's first album - i immediately instantly fell in love with her beautiful voice. in her early CD albums her Mandarin is clear as a whistle and the music was fun to the max. all her albums with her previous record company were all top notch albums. love all of them. now she has switched to Warner and my experience as a music fan is i've always felt the music produced by Warner have given me mixed lukewarm feelings. i'm not a real huge fan of Warner's music. BUT i love Elva's voice and her style and those are the reasons that got me to buy this 1087 CD album. i had a feeling i was going to have some regrets getting it and after listening to the album i am disappointed. i had high hopes and expectations from her.
the tracks i find worth listening to more than once are Biao bai, Honey Honey Honey, Bu yuan, LoVe, Wo de nan peng you. as for the rest of tracks are bland and the lyrics are dull.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

December 30, 2006 chick flickmy g-friend forced me to watch this movie with her. i think miriam yeung is cute and all but man this movie dragged too much. the story is that miriam is siu man a waitress who serves drinks to customers and can drink endlessly without getting drunk. daniel wu is a chinese who knows how to cook french food. he drinks one glass of booze and gets drunk. and he has a french restaurant with no business because the people in hong kong don't like french food. to them french food is weird and strange tasting. he meets siu man and wants her as a business partner. later they fall in love with each other -- hit that snooze button. typical of chick flicks. the person i thought was funny was alex fong who plays his character Brother 9 with great comedic timing and his voice was funny and the way he talked and his mannerisms were funny. he made the movie go by better. but it is still a chick flick. many parts were incoherent. the scenes jumped too fast and abrupt. the story is flimsy and weak. December 30, 2006 BADbought this show for my g-friend as a gift. she told me she hates this show. she gave it back to me. she ain't want it. i thought lots of girls like this show. and my g-friend likes to watch shows from Taiwan. that got me the idea to get this show for her as a christmas gift. she gave it back to me after she finish watch it. okay long story. i decide to watch it to see why she don't like it. just finished watching the whole thing in a couple of days. there are some funny parts. like the part when Ariel keeps going to the restaurant Joe works in and that smart chick who likes Joe is a waitress there too. that waitress gave a big huge order of food and dessert to Ariel. Ariel tries to force herself to eat all the food. that was ridiculous. the other parts made the show feel dull and slow and draggy. now i know why my g-friend don't like the show. and this show is too much of a chick show. i won't be keeping it. October 8, 2006 the jade girl master is backvivian chow the jade girl master is back with this 2006 charity concert. ah my very first love when i first saw her back in 1990. she is the ultimate beauty and still looks fantabulous! still got that great body and that great sweet angelic innocent smile that drives any man crazy not to fall for her. saw this concert and it is not to be missed by anyone who is a fan of hers. she sang many of her old time songs and some songs she never sang and never recorded before. her mandarin seems to be pretty much the same as in the past. not much change. her singing was good but it was kind of a bit off. sometimes she sang a bit off key. and her voice is not the same as before. well it's been 12 years since she last did a concert. this is her second official concert. she played the piano well and did two songs on it. she even danced in this concert too. she danced 12 years ago but not as much as like in this one. it must have been hard for her cuz she ain't sing for so long and she became a regular person. but in reality she is never really a regular person. once a star always a star. you know. or else she wouldn't be appearing in many japanese ads these days. she is always a star and icon whether she wants to be or not. i don't expect her to be recording any new songs to release a full disc. don't think i will buy the new ones if she had cuz her old songs will remain her best. that is when she was at the height of her talent and singing skills. in this concert she looked radiantly beautiful. a true jade girl master. and her charm is still there. making the audience go wild for her. October 8, 2006 not bad and not goodhamasaki ayumi is hyped up a lot. i saw this concert and other of hers and think she is not bad and not good. her performances are generally the same. she looks very stiff and too much like a doll. she tries to be sexy and all but that doesn't do it for me. why? it's because she looks too stiff like untouchable. wish she would loosen up some more. let it all hang out. and her singing is not that fascinating. she is like trying too hard to be someone she's not. at least that is the impression she gives off.
