I really enjoyed this show, it is really wonderful to watch Connie on stage. The opera part is exceptional. Wen Fai Yin is really good also.

I must agree that the Cantonese opera singing of Chan Bo Chu and Wun Fei Yin was top notched. I wish both DVDs were opera. Her modern singing was not as interesting. I think she was trying to move around too much in that dress of hers. Nice dress though. And I agree that her son should not be singing at all. It is too late for him to start a career in singing and for him to have his mother carry him is just not right. She did her part bringing him into the limelight.

Let's hope she does more opera instead

A Gem of Cantonese Opera Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The 5-star rating is for Cha Po Chu & Wan Fei Yin's Cantonese Opera performance only. As to the other songs, I agree with mlee that her pops songs are not noteworthy and that her son shouldn't sing at all, at least not in her same concert. She has done her motherly duty of proudly introducing her son, but he now needs to have his own fans. Chan has been consistent in her opera singing standards. When Chan sings opera, she's like a different person: poised, confident, simply a gem of a performer--even a national treasure, a conduit of the old masters and perhaps some future pupil? An appeal to Chan Po Chu: please give us more Cantonese Opera performance!

Her singing and dancing were pretty awful. I skipped some contents.... She may be a good actress but definitely not a singer!! How come her teacher/close friends never give her sincere comments?!

Opera performance is one of Po chu's strongest points. In this concert, both Po Chu and Wan Fei Yin sing very well. Other than the songs are well sung, the costums are very pretty too.
