Cherry Filter vol.3 - The Third Eye

Korea's underground bands have been drawing public attention overcoming years of public indifference with the 1-girl-and-3-man band Cherry Filter being one of the most prominent examples. Making music sweet like cherries, this Korean rock band comes back to us with their third studio album in August 2003 spying us with "The Third Eye".

Debuting in 1997 and releasing its first album in the year of 2000, Cho Yoo-jin the vocal, Ahn Yoon-kyun the bassist, Chung Woo-jin the guitarist and Son Sang-hyuk the drummer have raised its popularity to peak since it sang a song inserted in a movie titled "No Where to Hide". Their smash hit "Romantic Kitty" earning credits from teenagers to the middle age burned up all the charts scoring Cherry Filter with 100,000 copies in two months since its release.

Continuing their innovative lyrics and characteristic music on this third album, Cherry Filter leads the new rock generation by their title track "O-ri-nal da (A Duck Flies)" singing the sorrow of ducks being unable to fly up to the sky. The powerfully unique vocal of Yoo-jin fits perfectly well with the sparkling ideas only originated from Cherry Filter on others like "Digital Shockwave", "Tick-Tock", " "No Peace, Yes War?" plus many more tunes which carry meaningful messages in the heavenly music on this third album "The Third Eye".

So here they are! Cherry Filter, the leader guiding the comeback of rock in Korea!
